Welcome to five (“we,” “us,” “our”), operated by Five Apply LLC (“Company”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the five platform, available at fiveapply.work(the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
five is a jobs platform that connects job seekers (“Seekers”) with employers and hiring managers (“Recruiters”). five is not an employer, staffing agency, or employment agency. We do not make hiring decisions, guarantee employment outcomes, screen, rank, or filter candidates using algorithms or AI, or act as an agent for either party. We provide the platform. What happens between Seekers and Recruiters is between them.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.
You sign in through LinkedIn OAuth or another supported authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Notify us immediately at support@fiveapply.work if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You receive 20 free applications per week, resetting every Monday at midnight UTC. Applications include a video pitch (up to 5 minutes) and an optional text description. A resume upload is required before applying. You may optionally purchase a “High-Five” for $1 to signal heightened interest in a specific role. High-Fives are non-refundable once attached to an application. If you exhaust your weekly free applications, you may purchase additional overflow applications for $1 each.
Posting a job costs a flat $5 per post. A video pitch (up to 5 minutes) is required for each role you post. There are no subscriptions, tiers, or contracts. Job posts are active for 60 days from the date of posting unless manually closed earlier. You are responsible for the accuracy of job listings. Fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory job postings are prohibited and will be removed.
All transactions on five use a prepaid Wallet balance. You add funds to your Wallet via Stripe. Internal transactions (posting jobs, sending High-Fives, overflow applications) deduct from your Wallet balance. Wallet funds are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Unused Wallet balances remain available indefinitely while your account is active. Minimum deposit: $5.
We don’t hide our fees. Here they are, always:

That’s it. No subscriptions. No hidden fees. No sponsored listings.
You agree not to: use AI, bots, scripts, browser extensions, or automated tools to generate applications, pitches, or job postings; create multiple accounts or use fake identities; post fraudulent, discriminatory, or misleading job listings; harvest data from the platform; attempt to circumvent the weekly application limit; use the platform for any illegal purpose; or harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
We actively monitor for automated behavior. Violations result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any Wallet balance.
You retain ownership of all content you create on five, including job postings, pitches, and profile information. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except where retention is legally required.
Video pitches are a core feature of five. By recording a pitch, you expressly consent to the recording, storage, and transmission of video and audio content you create through the platform. Recordings are stored on Cloudflare R2 and are transcribed using Deepgram for accessibility and display purposes. Transcriptions and extracted key phrases are displayed alongside your application for convenience and are never used for automated screening or hiring decisions. You will be presented with a clear consent prompt before each recording session begins. Recording will not start without your affirmative action. You may delete your recordings at any time by deleting the associated application or your account.
five does not use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or algorithmic processing to write, generate, or suggest application content; make hiring decisions; or evaluate video pitches. AI-generated content (including but not limited to content created by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools) is prohibited on the platform. We use AI in limited supporting roles: video transcription for accessibility, key phrase extraction for display, and skills-based matching to help surface relevant roles. These tools assist — they never generate content, screen candidates, or make decisions. Recruiters always see every applicant. We reserve the right to remove content we reasonably believe was AI-generated and to suspend associated accounts. Your data is never sold and your content is never used to train AI models.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By adding funds to your Wallet, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe handles all payment data in a PCI-compliant environment.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that any Seeker will receive interviews or employment, that any Recruiter will find suitable candidates, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or the accuracy of any content posted by users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Five Apply LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Five Apply LLC, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@fiveapply.work or through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with notice. Upon termination, your content will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, any remaining Wallet balance is forfeited (except where applicable law requires otherwise), and your obligations under Sections 7, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
